Several spy cams can be hooked onto the same monitor, so as to form a CCTV network. A wireless hidden camera on the other hand, is used for transmitting a video signal to a receiver within a small radius (up to a few hundred feet). In both cases, simultaneous as well as recorded telecasts can be viewed. Latest models called DVR cameras come with a recorder and usually use a micro SD card installed in the unit for video recording.



Hidden cam is being commonly installed at secret places inside homes so as to keep a watch over the child's nannies or caretakers of senior members. The surveillance system further helps in alarming the members of the house about robbers or burglars. In offices as well, spy cams can be camouflaged with the surroundings so as to make them almost invisible. Owing to this, employees of the organization do not have the slightest idea that they are being watched over by the camera. Hidden cameras thus prove to be a boon for ensuring security of life and property.
